Where We Work
We're based at 220 Heritage Walk in Woodstock, GA 30188, and most of our calls come from inside a short drive of that address. The houses here mostly went up between 1964 and 2007, with the bulk of the stock dating to the 1980s and '90s spread across nine named areas of town. That matters because a door and opener installed in a 1985 build doesn't fail the same way as one from a 2005 build, and the hardware behind the wall is often different generation to generation.
We also take jobs out toward Holly Springs, about 5 miles off, and Mountain Park, around 6 miles. Fair Oaks and Emerson sit about 13 miles out, Waleska is 15, and Vinings, Ball Ground, Powder Springs, and Doraville run from 17 to 19 miles depending on the route. If you're inside that radius and your door won't open, call (770) 230-5957.
This is a cold-moderate climate zone, which means winter mornings can stiffen grease in an old opener chain or tighten a torsion spring enough to make it groan before it moves. We see that pattern every year and it's part of why we stock the parts that actually fail here, not a generic catalog.
What Comes Next
When you call, we ask what the door is doing
Won't open, opens partway, makes noise, or the opener runs but nothing moves. That narrows it down before a truck ever leaves. On site, we check springs, cables, rollers, track alignment, and the opener itself, because a bad spring and a bad opener gear can look the same from the kitchen.
Given that the housing stock here spans four decades, parts availability varies a lot
A door from a 2005 build usually uses common hardware we carry on the truck. A door original to a 1960s or '70s house sometimes runs on a spring size or track width that isn't made anymore, and we'll tell you that straight instead of forcing a part that's close but wrong.
If the fix is a spring, cable, or roller swap, we usually finish same visit
If the opener board is dead or the panel is bent past straightening, we'll give you the honest comparison between repair cost and a new door, based on what's actually in front of us, not a script.
What We Will Not Do
We won't quote a repair over the phone sight unseen and then pad the number once we're in your driveway. We won't tell you a 20-year-old opener just needs a new board if the gears inside are stripped; some openers are done, and we'll say so.
We don't carry every obsolete spring size and track width that was common in homes built before the 1980s - if your door uses one of those and the part isn't available, we'll tell you that's a replacement job, not stall you with a patch that won't hold through next winter.
We also don't work outside the area we actually cover well. If you're well past Doraville or Powder Springs, we're not the closest truck, and sending one out anyway just means you wait longer and pay more for the drive. We'd rather say no than take a job we can't get to fast.
